Nadezhda Danilenko Comments on Key Tax Events of March for Pravo.ru

The online media outlet Pravo.ru published a regular article on the key tax changes that occurred last month. In this article, Nadezhda Danilenko, Senior Associate at Forte Tax & Law, shared her expert opinion on the tax events of March 2024.

In particular, she addressed two important rulings issued by the Judicial Panel of the Russian Supreme Court for Economic Disputes. In one case, the Russian Supreme Court expressed its opinion on tax on the income of a foreign shareholder from a country, with which Russia has a valid non-discrimination agreement. In the other, the judges figured out which of the parties must pay VAT under a contract, if the obligation to pay this tax arises during the term of the contract.
