Anton Kabakov talks about particulars of obtaining authorizations from the Russian Government Commission at a meeting of the AHK Committee on Taxes and Financial Reporting

On January 11, 2023, the Committee on Taxes and Financial Reporting of the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce held its first meeting this year, at which Anton Kabakov, Partner at Forte Tax & Law, gave a presentation. The topic of his presentation was “Authorizations of the Russian Government Commission: Interests, Shares, Dividends”.

It is a well-known fact that a significant number of transactions involving interests and shares may not be conducted without the authorization of the Russian Government Commission. Anton explained what types of transactions would require approval.

Speaking from the practical experience of the Forte Tax & Law team in this area, Anton discussed in detail how to obtain authorizations. He did not leave aside particulars of obtaining authorizations, including the motives for issuing them. He separately focused on the need and the procedure for obtaining the authorization of the Russian Ministry of Finance to pay dividends.
