Anton Kabakov spoke about transfer pricing trends at the East Office of Finnish Industries meeting of country directors

An East Office of Finnish Industries meeting of country directors was held on November 11, 2019 at the House of Finland. The East Office of Finnish Industries draws together 25 leading Finnish corporations, seeking to build more opportunities for Finnish business in Russia.

This meeting was centered around the latest trends in taxation and transfer pricing in Russia, with emphasis on transfer pricing. Pressing issues about transfer pricing documentation, the risks related to transfer pricing and how to liaise with state authorities were addressed at the meeting.

Anton Kabakov, partner at Forte Tax & Law, spoke to company directors about the main trends in transfer pricing. Anton mentioned the upcoming changes to the Tax Code that will affect transfer pricing and noted that these changes will first affect the intangible assets of companies.

Anton also reviewed existing transfer pricing cases and gave some recommendations for businesses to follow. In particular, Anton suggested that when preparing documentation companies should first focus on the availability of a business objective and genuine transaction.
