Anton Kabakov moderated the annual conference Taxes 2019 and spoke about price control over intragroup transactions

Organized by St. Petersburg International Business Association (SPIBA), the conference Taxes 2019 was held on February 20, 2020. The purpose of this annual event is to recap the tax results of the year gone by as well as outline trends and prospects. One of the special guests this year was A.A. Korabelnikov chairman of St. Petersburg Finance Committee.

As tradition would have it, Anton Kabakov, partner at Forte Tax & Law and co-chairman of SPIBA Finance Committee, moderated the event and made a presentation on price control over intragroup transactions. Anton spoke about the main risks that taxpayers should consider when they conclude transactions and described the so-called “reality tax triangle” consisting of three main elements: the real nature of transactions, real business purpose, and real price. Anton also talked about the hidden risks in transfer pricing which are often overlooked by experts.
