Alina Aleksandrova and Anton Kabakov discuss de-registration of digital service providers at a meeting of the AHK Committee on Taxes and Financial Reporting
On June 14, 2023, the Taxes and Financial Reporting Committee of the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Russland) held a regular meeting. In addition to a traditional exchange of views on the committee’s initiatives and events, on the agenda of this meeting, attended by experts, was a discussion of the key changes to the Russian Tax Code that have been proposed in Draft Law No. 369931-8.
Alina Aleksandrova, Senior Associate at Forte Tax & Law, talked about the de-registration of digital service providers with Russian tax authorities.

- May foreign companies that provide digital B2B services only de-register with Russian tax authorities?
- Are these companies required to file a nil VAT return?
- Are foreign companies entering the Russian market required to register with Russian tax authorities if they do not provide digital services to individuals?
