1. Dividend tax increase up to 15% for offshore payments: what will change in practice?

In a recent public address, the President of Russia announced an increase of up to 15% in dividend tax when dividends are paid to offshore jurisdictions.

This change has given rise to more questions than answers for many. What exactly did President Putin mean? To which jurisdictions will this apply?

2. Obligation for St. Petersburg companies to notify the authorities when they operate during lockdown

On April 3, 2020, the Government of St. Petersburg required companies to inform St. Petersburg Industrial Policy Committee about the employees who will work remotely, those who will work on site and those who will stay home.
