Robert Gurdyumov spoke about the main tax changes for 2019 at the online CFO Café tax marathon
The second online tax marathon was held on December 5-7, 2018 on the portal CFO Café. This event turned out to be massive with over 500 CFOs, chief accountants and corporate tax lawyers in attendance.
Robert Gurdyumov, Senior Associate at Forte Tax & Law, spoke at this event about the significant tax law changes that will be introduced in 2019, in particular, the VAT increase up to 20%. Robert also talked about the implications that the changes to property and profit tax will have on businesses.
Do property tax returns need to be submitted when companies only have movable property? What VAT rate should be applied to certain business transactions? Will the upcoming VAT increase require changing contract price and amending contracts? Robert addressed these questions which have, for several months, given rise to heated discussions among Russian lawyers and financial experts.
