On the eve of the annual St. Petersburg International Legal Forum 2019, Kommersant newspaper conducted a survey among the regular Forum participants which are major players on the market of legal services. These participants were asked to share their impressions of previous forums as well as their expectations for this year.

We reported earlier on that major changes were due to be made soon to the procedure for migration registration. The new changes essentially provide that it will be possible to register foreign nationals working on Russia only with the address at which they live (rather than the address of their employer’s office as previously).

Mika shared his experience of doing business in Russia and the difficulties he had faced along the way. Mika also discussed whether lawyers will be required in the future when smart contracts and robot lawyers would be sufficiently developed and available for business.
