Nadezhda Danilenko Discusses Consequences of Suspension of Double Tax Treaties at CFO Conference held by the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce

On September 19, 2023, the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Russland) held its annual CFO conference in Saint Petersburg. The event saw over 150 attendees offline and was streamed online.

Nadezhda Danilenko, Senior Associate at Forte Tax & Law, made a presentation on one of today’s most topical tax-related subjects — the suspension of double tax treaties (DTTs). We also provided an overview on the consequences of the suspension of DTTs earlier. You can find it here.

Nadezhda talked to attendees about details of the suspension of the treaties, the consequences that taxpayers may face when paying income across the border, and the changes made to how a permanent establishment will be taxed.
