Julia Talagaeva speaks at the Legal & Financial Update Conference held by the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce

On April 20, 2023, the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Russland) held a Legal & Financial Update conference where speakers and participants addressed the most topical issues of the legal landscape for business. Julia Talagaeva, Senior Associate at Forte Tax & Law, talked on the subject of “Obtaining Authorizations for Transactions involving Interests and the Payment of Dividends: Up-to-date Practices”.

It is a well-known fact that a significant number of transactions involving interests and shares may not be conducted without the authorization of the Russian Government Commission. Julia spoke about how the situation was unfolding in practice.

Speaking from the practical experience of the Forte Tax & Law team in this area, Julia discussed in detail how to obtain authorizations. She did not leave aside particulars of obtaining authorizations, including the motives and the time limits for issuing them.
