Julia Talagaeva commented for Rossiya 24 TV channel on new requirements for foreign citizens

Rossiya 24 TV channel broadcast today a story about new obligations introduced at the end of last year, requiring foreign nationals to get fingerprinted, photographed and go through medical examinations (for more detailed information about these requirements, click here).

This means that foreign nationals, including highly qualified specialists, will need in practice to grapple with various bureaucratic difficulties to fulfill the requirements of the law, and this will often take several days to complete them all.

Julia Talagaeva, Senior Associate at Forte Tax & Law, commented on these new requirements for the TV channel and noted:

“Previously, foreign nationals such as highly qualified specialists (HQS) did not have to take medical tests in Russia, so this is a big shock for them.”
