A conference on HR issues was held last Thursday at the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce in St. Petersburg. Julia Talagaeva, senior associate at Forte Tax & Law, reviewed at this event the labor dispute cases that were significant in 2019 and at the beginning of 2020.

The 12th St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum took place on November 13-15, 2019. A session on HR Potential – Innovation in Management was held as part of the forum. Anton Kabakov, partner at Forte Tax & Law, spoke at this session about the legal aspects of labor relations in the field of IT.

Another RUSSOFT summer seminar on the full cycle of HR management in IT companies was held on July 11, 2019 in Moscow.

Ekaterina Belyaeva, Associate at Forte Tax & Law, commented to Pravo.ru on the aforementioned Supreme Court ruling and noted that it is easy in practice for employers to dismiss employees in strict compliance with the law.

The results of the main Russian rating of law firms, Pravo.ru-300, were announced last Wednesday.  According to this rating, Forte Tax & Law is among the best law firms of the country in several areas of law.

Certification of workplaces was replaced in 2013 with special assessment of working conditions which is meant to fulfill the same functions, i.e. identify harmful and hazardous factors in the workplace and provide employees with means of protection against negative factors, as well as other guarantees and compensations.

At the end of October 2018, the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation rendered ruling, which cleared up the uncertainty around the calculation and payment of compensation for unused leave.

Forte Tax & Law and Avant hosted a joint business breakfast last Friday. This event was intended mainly for HR managers and company executives from Technopolis and addressed the HR and legal aspects of hiring and dismissal. Over 45 guests attended this business breakfast.
