Anton Kabakov commented on the end of Doing Business rating for Rossiya 24 TV channel

Last Friday, Rossiya 24 TV channel aired an evening news report about the discontinuation of the Doing Business rating which used to be published by the World Bank every year. This rating, which showed how easy it is to do business in different countries, was discontinued due to the manipulation of results in a number of countries.

Anton Kabakov, partner at Forte Tax & Law, was involved as an expert in the drawing up of the annual report on Doing Business in Russia. Anton commented on the discontinuation of this annual report for the TV channel, noting that this rating really helped investors as well as the government, which could see based on the report, the indicators that needed to be improved.
