Anton Kabakov spoke at a seminar held by SPIBA on the latest trends in tax implications of cross-border transactions

Our esteemed partner, Anton Kabakov, spoke on October 05, 2017 at a seminar held by SPIBA Finance Committee on the latest trends in tax implications of cross-border transactions. Anton talked in great detail about the issues related to the introduction in the Tax Code of provisions on unjustified tax benefits and also outlined the clearly contentious side of these changes. Do these changes stand for a consolidation or a change in approaches?

Anton noted that, although the changes to the Tax Code were purportedly introduced to protect taxpayers, they could, in practice, give rise to a flurry of new tax problems for businesses.
